Liberals Warnings About Obama Loss May Prove Self-Fulfilling

Over at Townhall, Dennis Prader has written an article about race and the election. What timing! Just yesterday, I was stopped in the parking lot by a couple of liberals because of my McCain-Palin bumper sticker. One said, “You’re a racist because you’re voting for McCain!” I replied, “No, I’m a Republican and I’m voting for the Republican candidate. I wouldn’t vote for Obama if he was white.” That stopped them in their tracks. Of course, it also gave me a wonderful opportunity to talk with them about Obama and McCain.

If Barack Obama loses the 2008 election, liberal hell will break loose.

One of my neighbors brought this up and is very concerned about riots breaking out should Obama lose the election. If Obama and other Democrat leaders do not stop talking how race will be the factor in BO’s loss, I will lay the blame entirely on them should “liberal hell” break loose on November 5th.

Seven weeks before the 2008 presidential election, liberals are warning America that if Barack Obama loses, it is because Americans are racist. Of course, that this means that Democrats (and independents) are racist, since Republicans will vote Republican regardless of the race of the Democrat, is an irony apparently lost on the Democrats making these charges.

That an Obama loss will be due to racism is becoming as normative a liberal belief as “Bush Lied, People Died,” a belief has generated intense rage among many liberals. But “Obama lost because of white racism” will be even more enraging. Rage over the Iraq War has largely focused on President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. But if Obama loses, liberal rage will focus on millions of fellow Americans and on American society.

I do agree with the blogger who stated that the press is almost encouraging what will happen on the 5th of November if Obama does not win, but I also think, the press did not need to say a word about having riots if Obama does not win, it will happen regardless. When there is a shooting of an African American and a life is lost in a city, it is horrrible. It’s unfortunate that any life should be lost due to not respecting the law and police officers that ask us to stop…do not run. It does not matter the color of skin that this happens to, but when an African American youth is shot dead by a police officer, there is many who come out defending the one who tried to flee, but was unsuccessful in doing so, in return the young man being killed, shot by officials calls for an outrage in the streets if the defendant was African American. If the defendant was white, there is not much said about this and life goes on. They say there is racism in this country, which is so obvious, but it’s turned around more so now. I do see more African Americans being against whites and maybe rightfully so. How unfortunate at a time where we are trying to come together as one in this country, but why does anyone, including an African American running for president need to say, “he looks different, by the way, he’s black”? Why even bring that topic up? So, it’s a color of skin, ONLY! I do feel there are reasons the African American youth are more suspicious to policemen, which is because history has reason for them to be, it’s a fact. They have not been be raised in the same environment, having the chance to be lead down the same path as the whites, but that is in the past. It’s not right though that this continue since so many are trying to make their lives to be as fair as it should be, like having the same respect that whites are given. African Americans are becoming as educated as any other race, and as respected as much as any time in the past, but for some reason they still feel they are not given the same equality as whites. Yes, that brings up the point about riots if Obama does not win. Would they riot if McCain did not win, or would the older white man riot if McCain did not win? It’s times like that when the African American just belittle themselves, not whites pulling out the race card. African Americans are given as much opportunities to achieve their dream as much as any other race in this country today, so why are they complaining? If they would go to school and stay away from illegal actions then the statistics may change, therefore changing the mind set of police officers and others who want to wrongly accuse any black youth standing in a group of the same on a street corner of “getting in trouble”, or wrongfully wondering if “they are up to something”. If there are riots when a black youth is killed what should we expect if a black president is not elected. Come on people, walk the walk, don’t just talk the talk. Stop this pointing the finger because of feelings of unfair treatment. Enough is enough. Teach our youth about getting together as one race and not rising up to be equal with whites when all people are equal. Stop bringing up the B or W name, just say, “us,” we the people of the awesome country. Put the past behind us, life is too short for not forgiving those of the past. I guess it makes life more interesting when we can talk in negative ways about people, and life but if we could all talk positively only about all, the world would be a much nicer place to live in. Why can’t we just get along?
